Sean Barquist

Director of Field Operations

Sean Barquist has been an integral part of the Corstone team since 2004. He is Certified LEED AP and has worked on a range of roles and  projects for Corstone including retail, restaurant, and multifamily. He began his career in construction over 30 years ago out in the field where he developed a great understanding of civil work.

Sean is proud of the relationships he has developed with many of Corstone's repeat customers. He strives to bring quality to all of this projects with an attention to detail. When Sean isn't tending to our field staff, you'll find in the great outdoors camping and hiking or traveling to tropical destinations with his wife.

Steve Foust

Senior Project Manager

Steve Foust grew up in the construction industry and quickly moved into management and leadership roles throughout his career. Over the last 40 years, Steve has held numerous roles including business owner, Division Manager of Special Projects and Project Manager. He has established an outstanding track record through successful completion of projects throughout the Pacific Northwest. As Senior Project Manager, he draws upon this success with a commitment to quality for all of his projects.

One of Steve's passions is mentoring teams and helping those around him grow their careers in the construction industry. Steve enjoys spending time with his wife, kids and dog Cooper. He loves to travel, waterski, snow ski and wine taste throughout Washington.

Ali Tapert

Residential Division Manager

Ali Tapert has held multiple positions within the organization and understands the full scope required to put together a project. She has successfully led the launch of a new residential division, expanding Corstone's capabilities and delivering high-quality residential projects. Her ability to be creative and provide innovative approaches and solutions on a project-by-project basis allows her to identify, adapt and resolve complex issues and find solutions to problems as they arise, ensuring projects are completed efficiently and with the highest standards.

Ali enjoys taking her 80 lb German Shepard, Bruce, to the dog park and spending time with her family and friends. When she's not in the office, you can find her traveling, working out or cheering on one of the local sports teams.

Tom Shields

Senior Project Manager

Tom Shields serves as Senior Project Manager, bringing over 13 years of experience in the construction industry. His expertise spans contract and risk management, schedule oversight, financial performance, budget forecasting, and work-in-progress tracking, all while maintaining a strong focus on client satisfaction. Having progressed through roles as intern, PE, Sr. PE, APM, and PM at a large commercial contractor, he brings a comprehensive understanding of project delivery from start to finish. He specializes in managing complex ground-up projects with significant civil and structural scopes and holds a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management from the University of Washington.

Tom is driven by a passion for teamwork, problem-solving, and transforming plans into tangible results. His approach centers on integrity, collaboration, and efficiency, with a commitment to continuous improvement and proactive leadership. He values the unique contributions of each team member and prioritizes building strong, lasting relationships with clients and colleagues. Outside of work, Tom enjoys spending time outdoors with his family and has a passion for building and restoring cars, trucks, and adventure vans.

Tony Betz

Senior Project Manager

Tony Betz brings a well-rounded background in delivering complex projects from concept to completion with over 35 years of industry experience. He provides overall leadership and administrative direction across multiple projects, overseeing every phase from pre-planning and budgeting through closeout and delivery. His expertise includes managing multi-million dollar budgets and P&L, leading procurement and contract administration, and ensuring strict adherence to safety and quality standards. Known for strong communication and relationship-building skills, he serves as a trusted point of contact for clients, architects, and project teams while mentoring junior staff to support growth and consistency across projects.

Tony's career reflects a hands-on and entrepreneurial approach, with owning an asbestos and demolition company for eight years. He went on to gain experience with various firms, contributing to a wide range of work including renovations, ground-up construction, and large-scale additions. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management from Boise State University and earned LEED GA and DBIA certifications. Outside of work, he enjoys boating, camping, traveling, golfing, and snowboarding, as well as spending time with family and friends.
