Mark Tapert

CEO/Owner

Mark Tapert is the CEO and Owner of Corstone Contractors LLC. He focuses on creating value for Corstone's construction clients, while motivating our team of highly skilled experts.

Mark brings a wealth of knowledge from 30+ years of experience in the construction industry, including years on-site, in management and ultimately in an ownership capacity. His experience and leadership skills are dedicated to overseeing Corstone's business development efforts and growing Corstone as a company that provides exceptional service, high value and consistent performance to repeat customers.

Mark is a member of CEO International and is also involved in a national construction peer group. When he's not leading our team, you can find him traveling with his family, or participating in just about any outdoor activity.

John Parpart

CFO

John Parpart became an important part of the Corstone team in 2017. He brings more than 20 years of experience in all aspects of accounting and finance, holding previous positions as CFO, VP Finance and Controller for construction companies and land developers. John holds an MBA in finance and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Washington and is a Certified Management Accountant (CMA). His background in engineering and business has allowed him to collaborate more effectively across the entire organization and lead initiatives in operations and financial services for Corstone.

When he isn't crunching numbers, you'll find him on the water wakeboarding and wakesurfing or camping with his family. He also keeps busy as Treasurer for Boy Scouts, soccer coach, umping little league baseball games and cheering on the Huskies.

Ali Tapert

Project Manager

Ali Tapert has held multiple positions within the organization and understands the full scope required to put together a project. Her ability to be creative and provide innovative approaches and solutions on a project-by-project basis allows her to identify, adapt and resolve complex issuesand find solutions to problems as they arise.

Ali enjoys taking her 80 lb German Shepard, Bruce, to the dog park and spending time with her family and friends. When she's not in the office, you can find her traveling, working out or cheering on one of the local sports teams.

Emily Klein

Business Integration Manager

Emily Klein has been an important part of Corstone since she joined our team in 2016. Her attention to detail and commitment to delivering a quality product sets Emily apart in the industry. In her role as Business Integration Manager, she has implemented and improved many processes and procedures across the company.

When Emily isn't streamlining processes and procedures, she is spending quality time with her husband and two French Bulldogs at their crossfit gym or chasing the sun along the West Coast.

Kim Cleveland

Human Resources Manager

Kim Cleveland joined Corstone in 2015 as an essential part of our team. She has been in the HR field for over 15 years and brings a lot of expertise to our staff. She manages an array of functions for Corstone, including HR, benefits, payroll and safety. Her background in various industries has allowed her to be an apt problem solver.

Kim holds a B.A. in Psychology from Seattle University and is an active member of Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). When Kim is not busy supporting Corstone employees, she is collecting Native American art, road tripping with her husband and two children or enjoying the outdoors.

Stephanie Van Gundy

Culture & Marketing Manager

Stephanie Van Gundy joined Corstone in 2016 in a multifaceted role as Marketing Coordinator & Recruiter. She supports marketing and business development efforts by supporting Corstone’s current clients while building new client relationships. She has a passion for people development, business promotion and marketing. She is also responsible for looking out for great talent to join the Corstone team. Prior to joining Corstone, she worked for several recruiting firms in the Pacific Northwest collaborating with clients to identify and fulfill staffing needs.

Stephanie holds a B.A. in Communication from Washington State University. In her free time, she’s enjoying the outdoors and spending quality time with her family and friends. 

Sean Barquist

Field Operations Manager

Sean Barquist has been an integral part of the Corstone team since 2004. He is Certified LEED AP and has worked on a range of roles and  projects for Corstone including retail, restaurant, and multifamily. He began his career in construction over 30 years ago out in the field where he developed a great understanding of civil work.

Sean is proud of the relationships he has developed with many of Corstone's repeat customers. He strives to bring quality to all of this projects with an attention to detail. When Sean isn't tending to our field staff, you'll find in the great outdoors camping and hiking or traveling to tropical destinations with his wife.

Steve Foust

Operations Manager

Steve grew up in the construction industry and quickly moved into management and leadership roles throughout his career. Over the last 40 years, Steve has held numerous roles including business owner, Division Manager of Special Projects and Project Manager. He has established an outstanding track record through successful completion of projects throughout the Pacific Northwest. As Project Manager, he draws upon this success with a commitment to quality for all of his projects.

One of Steve's passions is mentoring teams and helping those around him grow their careers in the construction industry. Steve enjoys spending time with his wife, kids and dog Cooper. He loves to travel, waterski, snow ski and wine taste throughout Washington.
